Any special evenings on 19th 20th August? Any special tours? Are fireworks every night? Or fantastmic?

Hello again, Nicola, and welcome back to planDisney!

It's a pleasure to see you here again and thanks so much for stopping by as you continue to plan your magical Disneyland Resort Vacation!

The Disneyland Resort will typically post its Daily Events Schedule about six weeks in advance, so you'll be able to see more details about your visit in early July. The middle of August is a great time to visit because you'll be able to catch the end of the summer season where crowds might be a little lower as kids return to school but you'll still get those long, warm Southern California days. And during the summer season, fireworks are usually held every evening, weather permitting. Once the Resort transitions into Fall, fireworks might be held Friday through Sunday only. The same goes for Fantasmic!, which is making its triumphant return on May 24, 2024. If you want to watch this nighttime spectacular in style, consider booking a Fantasmic! Dining Package for a reserved viewing spot!

The Halloween Season will officially begin on August 23, so you'll be able to take in some magically spooky decorations! It's my favorite time of year as the iconic Mickey Pumpkin becomes the centerpiece of Main Street, U.S.A. At this time, I'm not seeing any Disneyland After Dark Events on those nights, but be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog to see if anything is announced. The premiere night of Oogie Boogie Bash will take place on August 25, 2024, so if your visit extends out that far, know that Disney California Adventure will be closing early to the general public.

As far as special tours, I would recommend studying the Enchanting Extras Collection to see if anything catches your eye. Two new tours that have just started being offered again are the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour (great for railroad aficionados and you get to enter the Lilly Belle!) and Cultivating the Magic Guided Tour (how horticulture helps to tell a story all throughout Disneyland Park). They both sound fascinating and I can't wait to try them myself! Tours can be booked 60 days prior to arrival.

I hope that I was able to answer all your questions, Nicola, and I wish you the best as you continue to plan your trip! We'd love to stay involved, so feel free to send more questions our way! You're always welcome at planDisney and happy planning!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
