Can you see the special Christmas fireworks from outside MK if you are not attending the MVMCP?If so, from where? Is there a carriage ride or free boat ride (the transportation kind) that you can watch them from?

You could see the Magic Kingdom holiday fireworks (or any MK fireworks) from the beach area outside any of the monorail line resorts (Contemporary, Polynesian, Grand Floridian). You could also have meal at the California Grill in the Contemporary and watch the fireworks from there.

There are no carriage rides in the MK area, but there are a few boat options. In addition to the fireworks cruises that could be booked from the above resorts, there is a free transportation boat shuttle that runs between the Magic Kingdom and MK resorts. You could certainly plan to be riding this boat during the fireworks. However my choice would be to get a up of coffee at the Polynesian and find a cozy spot on the beach there -- a very pleasant and relaxing way to end the day.
