Can I make a special appointment to have my childs picture taken with a specific Disney character?

    Hi Diane!

While there isn't a option to set up a specific appointment to meet characters at Walt Disney World, our family loves to meet the characters via dining experiences. During the meal, select Disney characters will visit your table while you relax and dine! Its a great way to beat the crowds and have a nice meal at the same time!

Some of our favorite character meals are at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom where Pooh & Friends are in daily attendance and at Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary where Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and others are usually in attendance.

If your child is a Princess fan then venues like Cinderella's Royal Table at the Castle in the Magic Kingdom, 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian or Akershus in Norway at Epcot are a few of the great options!

To see more about these choices, visit the Character Dining page on Disneyworld.com.

However, if dining with the characters isn't your thing, you can see many characters at Epcot with often much less wait times than at the Magic Kingdom. Also, if you're looking for a specific character to meet, as a Cast Member to call the "character hotline" to find out where they'll be!

Hope this helps! Have fun with the whole Cast of Characters! Be sure to give Mickey a hug!
