Welcome to planDisney, I-Chen!
I'm so glad you've soared over to see us with this question. I have yet to experience
Space 220 Restaurant for myself, but I certainly hope to journey up, up, up, and away one day soon. I've seen tons of footage of the restaurant ambiance and menu on social media and dining there looks like an exciting out-of-this-world mission.
I quickly looked at
advance dining reservation availability online and via the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. I was able to view the "Reserve Dining" button on my app from the restaurant landing page. I'm not sure if you tried accessing it amid a technical glitch but you should be able to search for upcoming availability via the app or website regardless of whether you canceled a prior reservation.
When I have my heart set on a specific dining venue I navigate directly to that page using the search option (the magnifying glass icon) at the bottom of the app screen. In this case, you'd type in Space 220 Restaurant or
Space 220 Lounge, depending on the menu and experience you prefer for this visit. At the top of each page, you should see a button to "Reserve Dining." Click that, then select your party size and date range. A new
update now allows guests to search availability within a 10-day window, which I find super helpful.
You can also look for advance dining reservations across Walt Disney World Resort using the "+" option at the bottom center of your app and then clicking "Check Dining Availability." This will show you all openings for a given date and/or time instead of one specific restaurant.
I'd recommend giving your search another attempt. You may find the website works better than the app on some occasions but availability should populate on both. Keep in mind this particular restaurant is a popular experience and you might not be able to secure an advance reservation. If that proves true you can still stop by to inquire about walk-up availability in person on the date of your visit. I can't guarantee they will be able to accommodate you but it never hurts to double check.
I hope this was helpful, I-Chen. If we can answer any additional questions please blast off right back to planDisney and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
