Hi there, Linda! It's great to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
At the D23 event this summer, we were treated to all sorts of exciting information, including the details of
Epcot's space-themed restaurant, Space 220, which will be located in a building right next to
Mission: SPACE. Walt Disney Imagineer Tom Fitzgerald said, "We know our guests love dining at Epcot – and the restaurants really are out of this world!" I love how the Imagineers thought of all the details, including the catchy name, which comes from the fact that the International Space Station is suspended 220 miles above the Earth's surface.
I must admit that my finger is getting a little twitchy waiting to click the button on
My Disney Experience as soon as dining reservations are made available to guests. All that we've been told is that the restaurant will be set to launch sometime this winter. This timeline leads to some gray area, as winter could be interpreted as early as December or sometime in mid-March. My best advice is to keep checking the Walt Disney World website and the
Disney Parks Blog for updates. Hopefully, the planets will align soon, and we'll get those reservations! I can't wait to rocket into orbit for some internationally-inspired cuisine!
Good luck, Linda! See ya' real soon!
