Sorry to bother you with a silly ?, we have a 12 day wdw holiday bkd for oct. however the day the kids think were flying home were actually boarding the cruise bus for 3 nights. As people who have magic in their veins any ideas on how to surprise them.

Welcome aboard, Amanda! Oh my goodness! What a special surprise you have planned for your kids! Not only are they off to enjoy the fun and magic at the Walt Disney World Resort, but just when they think the excitement has come to an end, they'll be whisked off to sea with Disney Cruise Line! You're such a cool mom!

There are all sorts of ways you might surprise your kiddos. You might ask one of the Cast Members working with a character that you're about to meet if the character can present your kids with a paper letting them know that they'll be heading out to sea the next day. This can't always be done, but if you type up a paper certificate of sorts and keep it with you, it's worth asking when you're waiting to see a character in the parks. Just have a back-up if it doesn't work out.

Or, ask the Cast Members at your resort's Guest Services to call your room asking your kids to come down for a special message in the lobby. Then, perhaps they could hand them a top secret envelope that you've provided with the next day's news!

Gosh, Amanda, there are so many things you could do! If you have special dining reservations at a restaurant in the parks or at the resorts, you could sneak a certificate you've made along with a Disney Cruise gift off to the waiter or waitress to present on a covered serving platter. Can you imagine your kids' surprise as the waiter walks up to the kids and lifts the covered tray to reveal your certificate and maybe a Disney Cruise Line Captain Mickey or Minnie doll?

Your surprise has me thinking of doing this for my kids next time we have a land and sea vacation planned, Amanda! Thanks for the great idea and I hope mine have helped you! Have fun planning and please let me know if I can help with any other cruise questions before you set sail this fall!
