Sorry to ask so many ?s trying to budget for souvenirs - watched video on site. Plan to give certain amt for HS, MK, AK, but there are so many shops and different things at WS, am torn between $ per park and $ per shop in Epcot. You all are so helpful.

    Hi Jennifer,

First the good news-We are so glad that you are asking questions. We LOVE to help make every family's trip that much more magical, so please keep asking!

Now the bad news-I am a Disney World shop-a-holic! I have tried many times to budget my souvenir money but aways seem to find that one or ten more things that I have to have, so I hope I can keep you on target with your expenses. It is a great idea to plan out what you can spend and what type of things you are looking for but I would plan a little "mad money" just in case. You will find many of the parks' gift shops offer the same or similar items so that may help with your budgeting from park to park. If you find a shirt you love at Magic Kingdom, most likely you will find the same item at each park therefore I think it is more important to have the amount that you do not want to go over for the whole trip instead of by park.

Epcot's World Showcase is a unique situation as many of those items are specialized for the country you are visiting. If you enjoy purchasing items with some ethnic flavor, I would plan on spending more at this park than the other three. Don't forget to figure a trip to the World of Disney into your expenditures. This store is located at Downtown Disney and is a monstrosity of Disney merchandise. If you are a Chase Disney Visa cardholder, be sure to show your card while shopping at World of Disney to receive your card holder discount.

Just remember your overall money limits and shop accordingly. I often wait until later in the day to actually purchase my items. This  gives me a chance to window shop throughout the park and then decide what I want the most. Good luck and if you are anything like me, you may want to bring an empty suitcase with you just in case. :)
