We and our soon to be 6 yr old son are arriving 5-21at 11am at airport so i am thinking once we get to (coronado springs) and unload it may be 230 pm,we want to take advantage of every min we can.weve dinner with chef mickey at 9pm.what to do till then.

Hi Barbara, I think you have your timing about right. With a 9:00 dining reservation, you likely have six or more hours of activity on your first day. If you can use a park ticket, then this is plenty of time to get a jump on the Magic Kingdom, You could easily knock off several rides on your "to do" list in that amount of time. If you didnt want to venture into a theme park, then you might want to go to Downtown Disney for shopping and entertainment. Or you could go to a water park or play mini golf for the afternoon. However, one thing you may want to consider is whether a nine pm dinner reservation is the best thing for your son. When my kids were 6, their bedtime was in the 8:00 range. If they started dinner at 9:00, they'd be a mess the next day. Personally, I'd take it easy on your first day, get to bed early, and then arrive at the Magic Kingdom first thg in the morning. Obviously you know your son best, but you should think about if sticking to his usual routine makes sense. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
