How soon should you be at the gate to get in for an 8.m. dining reservation?

Hi there, Julie! A pre-park opening breakfast is one of my favorite touring strategies. It allows Guests the opportunity to eat before the Park opens and if you're lucky, you might be able to position yourself to beat the rope drop dash! During our trip last summer, I was able to snag a coveted 8:00 AM reservation at Tusker House Restaurant, which enabled us to get a jump start on our day at Pandora – The World of Avatar

Although Walt Disney World officially says bus service from the Resort hotels begins 45 minutes prior to park opening, in my recent experience, the buses to Magic Kingdom Park start picking up Guests around 6:30 AM and buses for the other Parks are usually running by 7:00 AM. I like to use the My Disney Experience mobile app for estimates for when the theme park buses will arrive at my Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Guests with an early breakfast reservation are usually allowed entry into the Parks by 7:45 AM, so I'd aim to get there a little bit before 7:30 AM, since the security area typically opens around this time. At all four theme parks, there will be a special line for people with early breakfast reservations to enter the turnstiles. Try to resist the urge to rush, as this is always an excellent opportunity to strike an Instagram worthy pose in a nearly empty Park.

Enjoy your Disney breakfast of champions, Julie!
