    Hi! Both of my sons have nut allergies and therefore are very picky eaters. We will be staying at The Contemporary. Is there a store to buy bread and lunch products for their lunches so I can just pack them rather than worrying about buying something?

    Hi Megan,

    Yes. there are basic groceries, like bread and milk, available for purchase in the Contemporary Resort gift shop. You can also order groceries, prior to your arrival, from an online service and have them delivered to the Contempoary Resort when you check in. This option would offer you a larger selection and possibly a better price. The one I would recommend is gardengrocer.com. They can also be reached toll free at 866-855-4350.

    However, if you would like there is even another option. Disney is a remarkable place to dine at when dealing with food allergies. The chefs at all Disney restaraunts are very willing to discuss any food allergies your children may have and work with you to find choices that they will enjoy and that are safe for them. The attention Disney gives in working within dietary restrictions is some of the best I have ever seen. When making your dining reservations, mention the allergies that your party will be dealing with. I would also suggest contacting the individual restaraunts that you will be at as they will make a note of it in their system. When you check in with the hostesses at each restaraunt make sure you mention the allergies again. The chef will come to your table to discuss the allergy and your options at that time. Hopefully this will help ease your fear of dining out with the boys.
