    my son (12 yrs) and i are planning to go on the magic cruise dec 29 from the galveston port. we will be driving to galveston,tx and i was wondering about parking n fees. also any recommendations for activites while stopping at ports?

    Hi Cleotilda!

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  I know you are looking forward to the arrival of the Disney Magic in your home state of Texas!

    I checked with the Port of Galveston and  parking for a six day cruise is $60 if you pay at the port and $55 if you pay online on the port's official website. 

    The Aquaboat and Snorkel Adventure is one of my favorite Grand Cayman Port Adventures.  If you and your son enjoy boating, this excursion may be something worth trying.  You will enjoy seeing the beautiful Grand Cayman shore while you navigate your way to uninhabited snorkeling destination in a two-seater motorboat.  After checking out the Caribbean marine life, exploring a shipwreck will be next on your agenda before docking your boat for the day.   Another Port Adventure I have experienced is Seaworld Explorer Semi-Submarine.  If you like to see marine life but would rather be dry, this might be a good choice for you!

    There are many fantastic options on Cozumel.  I would definitely recommend checking out Port Adventures in Cozumel on DisneyCruise.com and filtering through the choices with your son.  The Xcaret Eco-Archaeological Park is spectacular if you are looking for a nature themed adventure.  The Tulum Ruins and Beach Tour is another great idea if you are looking for a little history and some relaxation at a beach afterwards.
