My son turns 18 next year and I want to book a cruise but there is a chance we may not be able to go before his birthday and I know he won't be as interested without vibe. Are the deposits refundable? Thank you!

    Ahoy, Michelle!

I am so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question!

A Disney Cruise Line vacation deposit is refundable up until the Paid In Full (PIF) date arrives, which is typically 75 days prior to sailing. There are some exceptions to this, so it is best to verify this when booking with Disney Cruise Line.

I understand that it would be different for your son to cruise DCL without visiting Vibe, but there are activities for the 18-20 crew onboard as well. Perhaps he would like to try something new? Plus, once he turns 18, he can hang at the Quiet Cove Pool and Serenity Bay with you as well as try the Adult-Exclusive dining options. You could celebrate his eighteenth birthday with brunch at Palo, YUM!

I hope this helps with your cruise planning. Please let us know if you have further questions before you set sail!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
