Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Rebecca! We are so glad you brought your question to us today.
I can't think of a better way to celebrate your son's 10th birthday than a visit to Walt Disney World Resort! From taking control of the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy at
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to shouting "Sivako!" while soaring on the back of a banshee at
Avatar Flight of Passage, your visit is sure to be full of magical experiences as your son turns double digits!
I am happy to let you know that just as imagination has no age, no one ages at Walt Disney World Resort! Since your son will be 9 years old at the time of check-in, he will be considered 9 for the length of your stay and you will not need to do anything to change his ticket.
As Walt Disney World Resort prepares for
Returning to a World of Magic, during this reopening period
dining experiences will be limited in capacity and some experiences will remain closed. At this time,
Disney Dining Plans are temporarily not available to add to vacation packages. While we don't yet know when they may return, if Disney Dining Plans are available for your trip, the same rules would apply. Your son would be considered 9 years old for the duration of your trip.
Since no birthday celebration is complete without a birthday cake, I have included information about
ordering cakes. Don't forget to stop by
Guest Relations to pick up a celebration button so everyone will know it is your son's special day and can wish him a Happy Birthday.
I hope that helps! Please stop by the Moms Panel again with any additional questions you may have.
Happy Planning!
Anne Marie
