Thank you for sailing back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ellen!
I am glad that you cruised by for some ideas for your son now that we have started some plans for your daughter. I bet both are excited to get back onboard with Captain Mickey!
My kids love the
Oceaneer Club as well! They enjoy these spaces so much that they don't like to leave. Sometimes I tease them that if they don't join us at least for dinner, I'll make them walk the plank! The onboard youth clubs are age-specific, so if your pirate-in-training will be 13 when you sail this summer, he will spend his free time onboard in the tween club,
Edge.
I can tell you on our last cruise that my son did move from the Oceaneer Club up to Edge. He was nervous at first because he enjoyed the other club so much in the past, but he found Edge to be great in its own ways! Some of his favorite things to do in this tween club were the scavenger hunts, Heroes and Villains and playing video games with his new friends.
One of the best things about sailing with Disney Cruise Line is they strive to make a great experience for each guest. If accommodations need to be made so your son can enjoy Edge to its fullest, I would recommend you contact the
Special Services team to discuss how to ensure both of you are comfortable during your vacation.
I hope I have steered you in the right direction, Ellen! Sail back to "sea" us again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel if you have any additional questions about your upcoming adventure.
Bon voyage! Angie
