Hi! My son and I are staying at Ft. Wilderness in August and have tickets to Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom. The event runs from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Would the ferries between the two places still be running when the event is over?

Ahoy, Amanda! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you so much for stopping by with your question. I love visiting Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground and always get an overwhelming sense of nostalgia while there. Its setting makes me think back to long summer days as a kid, hanging out at the lake and camping with my family. I bet you and your son are going to have a blast exploring this fun resort this summer! There are so many great activities to do while there - everything from archery to horseback riding and even fishing. If your schedule allows, try to get an Advance Dining Reservation for Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, a slapstick comedy dinner show at Pioneer Hall. It is a knee-slapping good time perfect for all ages.

The night you plan to stay up late with Mickey and Minnie Mouse at Magic Kingdom Park, you will have complimentary Disney transportation available to return to Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground. The water launch back to the resort runs up until an hour and a half after the theme park closes for the evening. This does usually include Special Event hours, such as Disney After Hours. However, just in case they make the final "all aboard" call a bit earlier that evening, there will be Disney bus transportation provided in the Magic Kingdom Park bus loop. The water launch at that theme park to your resort is found near the bus loops, so if you find that the boats have finished their runs, you will be able to head on down the same path a bit further and hop on a bus.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted adventures!
