My son got sick midway through our Disney world trip. What options do I have for the unused days?

    Welcome to planDisney, Mark.

I’m sorry to hear that your son got sick during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. While I know that’s the least magical thing that could possibly happen, I hope it won’t put a damper on the happy memories made prior to his illness.

Your theme park tickets are valid for admission beginning on the start date you selected for them at the time of purchase and must be used within the allotted use period. Your tickets will expire after that use period ends, unfortunately. If you are still within the date range allotted for your tickets and are able to redeem the remaining days before you leave to go back home, you can modify your tickets to a new day within that time range. If you won’t be able to, I’m afraid the remaining days on your tickets will be lost. I know that’s not what you were hoping to hear, Mark, so I do apologize. However, if you are still on site and staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, I encourage you to stop by the Front Desk and explain your situation to a Cast Member there to see if there is anything further that can be done. Alternatively, you can call the Existing Tickets hotline and speak with a Cast Member on their team. While there is no guarantee they can do anything with your remaining ticket days, it’s a good idea to let them know what’s going on.

I hope your son is on his way to a speedy recovery, Mark. Take care, and please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

    Think happy thoughts,

    Alyssa
