My son and I are planning to make our first trip to WDW in July 2010. Someone stated we could make room reservations early in 2009 to hold a room in Animal Kingdom Lodge and later in August 2009 change our plans to a vacation package. How does this work?

Hi Debra,

In general, resort rates do not become public until September of the previous year. So this would mean you would have rates available in September 2009. In general, castmembers will not even quote you a price until the rates are available.

Your best bet would be to call Disney in the Spring 2009 and ask when you can start booking the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The castmembers on the phone would be able to give you the most accurate pricing information.

If you know your dates and want to book the Hoop Dee Doo Revue, rember those can be book sooner than you think!
