Hello there and welcome to planDisney!
So you're planning to spend an evening with your son at
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Hector?
I have a good feeling about this.
One of my favorite aspects of Magic Kingdom Park's beloved Halloween party is the abundance of costumes adorned by Guests and Characters. With this in mind, Hector, I'm delighted to share that your son will be able to dress as his favorite Dark Lord.
Per Walt Disney World Resort costume guidelines specific to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Guests under 13 years of age are able to wear masks as long as they provide unobstructed peripheral vision and have openings that allow their eyes to be fully seen. If his current mask doesn't meet the required guidelines, you could either modify it as needed or purchase a new one that does.
Did you know that adults are also able to dress in costume for the party, Hector? Our costume guidelines are a bit different than your son's, but there are still plenty of opportunities to transform into your favorite Character. Personally, I think it's so fun to embrace a theme for the costumes of your travel party, so you might consider embracing your own inner Jedi.
Pixie Dust from the Panel: Be sure to check out the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide highlighting the specially themed offerings available at Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party before your visit so that your son can pick which items he to would like to
do or do not (there is no try).
I hope this was helpful, Hector, and that you'll come see us again at planDisney!
May the Force be with you,
Lizzie
