Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth! We are so glad you are here, and want to help your son plan the merriest Christmas gift for your grandchildren. Disneyland Resort is always magical, but during the holiday season, it is out of this world. I am excited to help you begin the adventure of planning a Disney vacation!
Elizabeth, the best option to get the most bang for your buck would be to book a vacation package. As of now, Disneyland has not released any holiday rates for hotel and tickets, but I would go ahead and call now to secure your reservation. He will have the ability to make payments however he pleases, but he has to have the full payment done
30 days before his arrival date. If Disneyland releases a holiday rate later on, you can call and have it added to your vacation package. I stayed at
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel when I visited a few years ago, and it was wonderful. We even had a great view of Disney California Adventure Park from our window!
For tickets, I suggest getting 2 single
park tickets, and 1 with a Park Hopper option for the last day. You can devote the first two days visiting Disneyland Park and California Adventure, then use the ticket with the Park Hopper to go back and ride any attractions that you absolutely loved the first time!
I hope your son and grandchildren have the most magical, merry time visiting Disneyland this holiday season!
Frances
