My son is participating in the Candelite performance on Christmas Eve 12/24/10. I've never been to one and don't know what to expect. Is this something we need to get seated early for or have special seats (by having dinner) to enjoy more.

    Hi!

What fun! I bet your son is going to have so much fun performing in the Candlelight Processional! It really it is a moving experience that puts you in the holiday spirit!

These performances are very popular and have limited seating. Performances are located in the America Gardens Theatre. Two shows are performed each day. Due to this, people start lining up for each performance hours before their scheduled start. I'm sure the Christmas Eve show will be one of the most popular performances and I'd anticipate lines forming many hours in advance.

One way to avoid some of the lines, and be guaranteed seating at the shows is to reserve a dining package which includes special seating to the evening's show.  I highly recommend trying to reserve a dining package if at all possible. You may need to be persistent and flexible in order to get a reservation at this late day. I'd call 407-WDW-DINE early and often! Keep trying!

After the guests with dining packages are seated, guests from the stand by line are allowed to enter the theater. Once the theater is full, access to the theater will be closed.

Guests who are unable to enter the theater and have seats for the performance will be able to hear the performance from areas nearby in the American Pavilion. There are also some areas where the performance can be viewed from outside the theater as well. These are mostly directly across from the theater, or to the side.

Typically, the choir enters the America Gardens Theatre by walking through the American Pavillon (from a Cast Member entrance to the right of the main pavillion building- as you face that building). If your timing is right, you can actually greet the choir members as they walk through and wish them good luck with their performance.

    Hope this helps!
