Hi! My son is one year old. In one week we'll be staying at the Boardwalk. I'd really like to take him in the pool while we're there... is that allowed? If so, am I allowed to use a float from home in addition to the life vest? Thanks!

    Hi Lia!

The pools throughout the Walt Disney World Resort are absolutely amazing, so I understand wanting to bring your son along with you!  After a magical day at the parks, it can be really nice to unwind next to a cool pool.  Luckily, children of all ages are allowed in the pools!  At Disney's BoardWalk Inn, there is even a kiddie pool available in the Luna Park Pool area that your son may really enjoy!  Of course, for the safety of all guests, little ones still in diapers will need to wear plastic pants or swim diapers in the pool areas.

Lifejackets are available at the pool, but you can absolutely bring your own float, as long as the float is not so large that it obstructs the lifeguards' views of the surface of the water or the water below.  Also, U.S. Coast Guard Type II and Type III personal flotation devices are allowed.  If you are concerned that your float may be too large for the pool, you can ask one of the lifeguards or Cast Members who will be happy to assist you.  They want you to have a fun and safe vacation, so they will do everything they can to make that happen!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
