Welcome to planDisney, Jolene! It is so great to talk to you today.
Jolene, you will be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort right as I am leaving! I love visiting just before the holidays. The weather tends to be perfect and the
holly-jolly holiday events really help bring out my Christmas spirit. My current favorite holiday event is the
Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. I am so excited to sample holiday treats from around the world!
Jolene, to get your son added to your plans, the first thing that you will want to do is to make sure that the theme park that you want to visit has Disney Park Pass system reservations available. You can check that out on the handy
Availability Calendar. Park availability does change in real-time, so if there is no availability at the moment, make sure to keep checking.
To make sure that your party stays together, I would recommend that you switch your park days around to accommodate your son's ticket. Generally,
Disney's Animal Kingdom and
EPCOT have the most availability, while
Disney's Hollywood Studios tends to book up first. Make sure that you pay special attention to the Availability Calendar when choosing new park days. If your son is included on your Friends & Family list, you will be able to select his park days as well.
If your desired theme parks do show availability on the Availability Calendar, but the website is still not letting you book your son's Disney Park Pass system reservation, I would assume that you are encountering a technical glitch. In this case, I would reach out to the friendly Cast Members at (407) 939-5277 for assistance.
I hope that this gave you a little bit of guidance, Jolene. Please come on back here to planDisney if we can help you figure out where to play, stay, or dine at Walt Disney World Resort.
See you real soon!
