My son will be 10 by our next trip is a super picky eater. We will be suing the dining plan but we are not sure he will eat anything off the adult menu. Can we still order him children's meals?

Hi! I've got a super-picky 10-year-old son myself, so I understand! My son has always been able to order off of the children's menu even though Disney considers him an "adult."  Some restaurants even gave him an adult-sized portion of the child's entree, such as two grilled cheese sandwiches instead of one and a generous helping of french fries.

Obviously, the cost of a child's meal is much cheaper than the cost of an adult meal at Disney, so using your son's adult dining plan to pay for kids' meals is not the most cost-effective use of your meal credits. At some (non-buffet) restaurants, you may want to consider asking the server if you can pay for your son's meal out-of-pocket instead of using his dining plan credit. Then, other adults in the family could use his adult credits toward their more expensive meals.

Hope you have a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if we can help again!
