My son is a military veteran and is 100% disabled. He doesn't have a current military ID (the one he has is expired) so would a letter from the VA stating his disability work for authorizing his tickets at Walt Disney World? Thank you for your help.

Hi there, Jessica! Thank you for sending in your question to planDisney. From all of us, thank you for your son's service. We are so grateful. I am happy to help you today.

To purchase Disney Military Salute Tickets, your son will need a military ID (DD Form 2765). This also applies to the discounted Magic Your Way Tickets available at MWR. Since your visit is in May, there is still time to renew his ID! Since you are in North Carolina, make an appointment at your nearest military base for ID renewal. At Fort Liberty, the process for ID renewal goes pretty fast, and you can make your appointments online. ID renewal is at the Soldier Support Center in the ID/DEERS office on the first floor. He can purchase your Salute Tickets from the Leisure/Travel Office at the Fort Liberty Mini Mall afterward.

Visiting Walt Disney World Resort in May is one of my favorite times of the year to go! Make sure to carve out a day and enjoy the bloomin' magic at the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival! Some of my favorite activities include participating in Garden Graze! Purchase select food items at various Outdoor Kitchens and collect stamps in your Festival Passport. Once you hit the magic number of five, stop by Pineapple Promenade for a sweet treat as a reward! Walking through EPCOT and finding your favorite character topiaries is a fun activity, as well as Spike Bee's Pollen-Nation Exploration Scavenger Hunt! Check out the delicious Outdoor Kitchen menus for 2024 in this Foodie Guide by Disney Eats!

Jessica, I hope all of this information was useful today. Thank you again for your son's service. If you have other questions, reach out and send them my way. You've got a friend in me!

    Happy Planning!
