Hi Jason,
Welcome back to planDisney, and greetings from a fellow Virginian! I'm excited to hear that you'll be visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth this
holiday season. Between the beautiful decor, festive music,
holiday bites and beverages, and a variety of special events, you're going to head home with a heart FULL of Disney magic and Christmas joy!
Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith really is a (pardon my pun!) rockin' and rollin' great time! I completely get why your Mouseketeer would want to see as much of it as possible. You're correct that with
Rider Switch, those who aren't riding the attraction need to wait outside the queue, but it can't hurt to ask a Cast Member when you arrive if your future thrill-enthusiast can get a peek at the take-off. If they're not able to accommodate a special entrance, though, I have good news for you. There's a retail spot at the end of the ride that's open to anyone. You can simply head off to the left of the attraction building by the KRNR The Rock Station kiosk and restrooms to enter the building there. Head up the ramp and you'll find a pretty sweet retail location with all kinds of merchandise your son would likely love. In the back, you'll find the turnstiles where Guests enter the shop after exiting the ride and your son will be able to get a peek at the attraction! While the launch isn't visible from there, I'm sending pixie dust that your future concert-goer will feel the excitement of the attraction, too.
Thanks so much for bringing your great question to us here at planDisney, Jason, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. I hope that you and your crew have a truly magical vacation this holiday season!
Missy
