My son loves to read and would love to buy some books for him while at Disney world but I can't seem to find any?? Any suggestions? Would love special collectible versions of that exists. Thank you!!

    Hello there, Diana!

A warm welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your excellent Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It sounds like your family is currently on-site enjoying a stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth. I hope your holiday is off to a very happy start!

Diana, I'm thrilled to hear your family includes a young Mouseketeer with a love for literature. As a parent of a pre-K kiddo myself, I'm currently actively nurturing a passion for reading as well! While I can't quite pinpoint specific stores where I've seen books during previous Walt Disney World Resort vacations, my panelist pal, Elaine, let me know that she found an adorable Figment-themed Little Golden Book in the gift shop outside Journey Into Imagination With Figment a few months ago. Additionally, I'd check the gift shops in the Disney Resort hotels you visit. While I've seen books in these locations about Disney Parks and Disney animation history, a Cast Member indicated that some resort retail locations also sell books from the Kingdom Keepers series. This might be a fun series to begin together as a family if your child is into chapter books!

If you're looking for some additional interactive activities to enjoy alongside your son, consider partaking in A Pirate's Adventure ~ Treasures of the Seven Seas at Magic Kingdom Park. My son and I stumbled across this interactive scavenger hunt during our last Walt Disney World Resort vacation and we can't wait to pick up where we left off during our next visit! You'll pick up a treasure map at The Crow's Nest between Adventureland and Frontierland and follow the directions to complete the challenges. While it's not a book, it's still a great way to connect with your child through teamwork and direction-following, all while creating special memories together in the theme parks!

Diana, I hope you've found this information helpful and I wish you a magical and memorable rest of your vacation. If you have any additional questions throughout your stay, you're always welcome to revisit us here at planDisney. We're here to help you make the most of your stay at The Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Warm wishes,

    Lauren
