Hi, My son and I love visiting WDW the week of July 4th. I noticed the parks close much earlier July 2016. Last year there were days when the MK closed at 3am. Is there a reason for this?

    Hi there Yu Wen!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! In 2015, my family visited the Walt Disney World Resort July 4th weekend and loved being able to see "Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” at Magic Kingdom Park. I can certainly understand why you and your son love visiting that particular week each year.

When planning our Walt Disney World vacations, I have often seen the park hours posted several months in advance and as our vacation drew closer, I noticed that the park hours were extended. The theme parks are historically open later during busier times of the year, so I think you will see the park hours being extended a little closer to your trip.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip!

    Happy Travels,
    Jodie
