My son is 8 and a little more adventurous than most food wise. I was looking at the kid's meals for counter service and the only things tend to be pizza and nuggets. Will they let him get something else?

    Hi Barbara!

My son is also an adventurous eater, and he enjoys larger portions, so I can completely relate. If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, then you must use your child table service credits for a children's meal. However, if you are not on the Disney Dining Plan, you can certainly order and pay for an adult meal for your child.

I suggest going to Disney restaurants that have more options for children. At Saana, children can get fish, meatballs or shrimp with quinoa pilaf. Also, at the Disney dining locations that offer all-you-care-to-eat buffets, children can get anything they want to eat off the buffet. That is a great option because everyone can get what they want. At Cape May Cafe they have crab legs and a delicious paella. Yak & Yeti has a Pork Egg Roll or Teriyaki Chicken Breast.

I think you'll find plenty of great options that you little guy will love!

    Magically,
    Stacy
