Welcome to Wonderland, Kathryn, or planDisney, as we call it! Thanks for stopping by with this curious question about your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit. Your son and I would get along fabulously because I'm an Alice fan, too. Let's talk about some options you'll have for falling down the rabbit hole on your trip.
I spoke to a grinning Cast Member who said there are no current experiences or characters in the park from the Disney+ series Alice's Wonderland Bakery. Still, he suggested checking the
Disney Parks Blog for any updates closer to your visit. Since this series is relatively new, it might take some time for Alice and her pals like Hattie and Fergie to make it to the Theme Parks, so I'm sprinkling pixie dust and sugar crystals so that some magic might happen in the coming months. In the meantime, I have some other ideas to make your next visit as mad as the Hatter himself.
First, I just came from
EPCOT, where I met the original
Alice in Wonderland at the United Kingdom Pavilion in World Showcase. I bet your son will enjoy meeting the great-grandmother of his favorite character, and this pavilion is the perfect spot to snap some photos and pick up some Wonderland merchandise.
And when you're in
Magic Kingdom Park, head to Fantasyland to take a spin on the
Mad Tea Party attraction. This whimsical teacup ride will get you in a Wonderland mood! And while you're there, satisfy your sweet tooth with a yummy Cheshire Cat Tail at
Cheshire Café next to the teacups. You never know...you might grow so tall that, like Alice, you can't put on your shoes! And I wouldn't be surprised if the Wonderland Bakery helped make those delicious treats. Finally, catch the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, where you might spy Alice, the Mad Hatter, and even the White Rabbit from the original film.
Kathryn, I know you were hoping for better news about characters and merchandise from Alice's Wonderland Bakery, but I hope your son will have fun exploring his Wonderland spirit on your visit. I also found a
T-shirt on the shopDisney website he might like, and new merchandise is constantly dropping online and in the parks.
Thanks again for coming to planDisney, where we celebrate unbirthdays every day. Feel free to
come back anytime, Kathryn. We're all mad to help you here!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
