Hi there, Noelle! I'm so glad you found the second star to the right and followed it straight on to planDisney!
I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a magical vacation with your grandson to
Walt Disney World Resort in January. You're sure to make memories together that will last a lifetime! To me, picking just the right
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is a big part of my planning, and I know you're going to love
Disney's Contemporary Resort. You can't beat the monorail running right through the lobby and I love that
Magic Kingdom Park is just a quick walk away! This makes heading back "home" after
Disney Enchantment as easy as bibbidi-bobbidi-boo.
Noelle, I reached out to a Cast Member to find out if there is the option to have rooms that are connecting (when considering Club Level with a theme park view). They told me that yes, this is an option! However, while Cast members will do everything they can to accommodate this request, connecting rooms aren't guaranteed. I have a few suggestions for your next steps!
First, my best piece of advice would be to call
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936 to book connecting rooms, subject to availability. This can be a helpful option since rooms can only be booked one transaction at a time online. A Cast Member will be happy to talk you through the options that are available to you!
However, you can try to do this online, too! After booking your second room, click Change under "Room and Amenity Requests" and select either "Nearby Room" or "With Connecting Door."
Last, you can also make this request with a Cast Member with the Chat feature through the
My Disney Experience app. To do this, tap the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner and tap Chat With Us. Leave a message with a Cast Member with your request and add as much information as you can, including your reservation numbers. They will be happy to get back to you as soon as they're able to add this request! Again, while these requests can't be guaranteed, they will do everything they can to make it the BEST. DAY. EVER!
Be sure that you've also made your Theme Park Reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system! This is an important step to reserve the parks you wish to visit on each day of your trip. And remember that you will be able to make our
advance dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in date for the length of your trip, up to 10 days. Also, take a peek at the other
resort benefits available to you by staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort!
Sending you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust on your upcoming vacation with your grandson!
Your Fairy Godmother in Planning,
Michelle
