    my son and his girlfriend are running the marathon in January and I was wondering if Disney gift cards can be used at the expo to purchase run Disney mechindise

    Hi Julie!

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. That is awesome that your son and his girlfriend are taking on the challenge of the Walt Disney World Marathon together and that they'll be able to chEAR each other on along the way!

    They are going to be able to shop until they drop at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo and there will certainly be areas to use a Disney gift card, but not for every purchase! If you check out the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo info page in the Digital Event Guide, you'll see there are several different shopping destinations for them! For anything inside of the HP Field House which will include all Official RunDisney Merchandise, they will certainly be able to use a Disney gift card. For any exhibitor inside the Visa Athletic Center, these are usually third party vendors so they will not accept Disney gift cards. This will usually include shops like New Balance, Raw Threads and KT Tape, but at this time the exhibitor list has not been released! It really depends what merchandise they'll be interested in whether or not a Disney gift card will be useful. I hope this assists in planning their upcoming runcation.
