Say cheese, Teresa! Welcome to planDisney, and congratulations in advance on your son's engagement. My family enjoys commemorating special occasions at
Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm sure the memories you make on this visit will be magical. Having photographs of the moment your son and his partner start their happily ever after will be priceless. Let's look at some picture-perfect options!
I spoke to a photogenic Cast Member who said that
Disney PhotoPass photographers sometimes stop by
Disney Resort Hotels, but there is no schedule or guarantee. One option would be to speak to the Front Desk when you check in to see if they can find out about any photographers on the schedule, but you'd have to be flexible if you go that route.
Another option for having photos taken in and around your Disney Resort Hotel is to contact
Disney Fine Art Photography & Video. My panelist pal Ana Paula
answered a similar question last year, so you might find her information helpful. This option might be expensive, so I have some additional ideas.
If your heart is set on photos outside a theme park, you could hire a private photographer to meet you at your resort. A quick online search will give you plenty of options and price points. You can design your own photo shoot as long as you don't plan to use any of the photos or videos for commercial purposes. Be sure to read the
Property Rules regarding photography to ensure compliance.
Finally, my recommendation for a practically-perfect photography shoot is to book a
Capture Your Moment session. These 20-minute sessions can be scheduled at any of the four theme parks, and the Disney PhotoPass photographers know exactly how to get the most magical photos. In addition to the session fee, you can purchase as many of the images as you'd like. A bonus tip is to buy
Memory Maker before you visit so you'll have free digital downloads of ALL your photos from the visit.
Teresa, I hope I've given you a well-framed answer to your photography question. And I'm waving my Fairy Godmother wand to sprinkle pixie dust on the happy couple so they'll have many years of happiness...and Disney trips! Please
stop by planDisney anytime.
Magic awaits,
Elaine
