    My son has food allergies such as apples, corn, black beans, etc. We wanted to purchase the Disney Dining plan for our trip. Will we have any issues if we have to make any substitution to his meals due to his allergies? Will his meal still be covered?

    Hi, Karen!

    I want to reassure you that Walt Disney World Resort restaurants and chefs are extremely attentive to guests with food allergies and special dietary requests. When you make your advanced dining reservations for table-service dining locations either online or by phone, you can indicate if there are any members in your party with food allergies and also specify which allergens (corn, wheat, soy, shellfish, etc.). The food allergies will be noted on your reservation -- this way the restaurant locations will be alerted in advance of your needs so they can best be prepared to accommodate you. When you arrive at the dining location, a Cast Member, Manager or Chef will speak with you personally to ensure that they have the correct information and will discuss options and alternatives with you. If you purchase a Disney Dining Plan, your son's meal will be covered. If you plan to dine at quick-service locations, I recommend speaking with a manager to find out which options would be available since menus and ingredients vary by location.
