Welcome aboard, Megan! Congratulations on your first cruise with Disney Cruise Line!
Disney Cruise Line is truly amazing when it comes to working with families that have special dietary needs. If you haven't already, you will want to be sure you add a note to your reservation that lets the Cast Members know that you and your son eat gluten free. This information is given to your dining servers so they can provide you with plenty of delicious options each night at dinner in the main dining restaurants throughout your
Rotational Dining.
Disney recommends that guests with food allergies and restrictions dine mostly in the main table service restaurants, as those kitchens are better set up to handle these types of accommodations. You are welcome to take a look at the offerings at the Quick Service spots onboard and at Cabanas buffet, as some items will be perfect for you, however, they cannot take the same type of requests as the table service spots. That being said, please ask the servers at these Quick Service spots if there are gluten-free items, and they may be able to direct you to those. I have seen gluten free pizza on occasion at
Flo's Cafe - Luigi's Pizza on the pool deck, but the sections can vary, so you will have many more options with your servers in the table service restaurants, Megan, including the option to pre-order a gluten-free meal for pick-up on Castaway Cay.
Once onboard, you can chat more with your dining servers who can steer you in the right direction onboard and at Castaway Cay to make your cruise a wonderful
culinary experience! I hope those details help and I wish you a very magical cruise!
