My son broke his arm yesterday and we have 4 days amusement park passes for 7-12 thru 7-19-24. After reviewing some of the ride safety features, I don’t think this will be as great experience for him at this time. Can I get reimbursed for my tickets?

Welcome to planDisney, Pamela! I'm so glad you stopped by, but I'm sorry to hear your son broke a wing. My little boy is a grown man now, but we have dealt with our share of broken bones over the years. I feel ya! Let's look at options to delay the magic until your boy is flying high again.

I'm not sure if you've booked a vacation package including theme park tickets and a Disney Resort Hotel stay or if you only have tickets. I suggest calling the Existing Tickets line as soon as possible to see your options for the type of admission you purchased. Tickets are usually non-refundable, but the Cast Members will do all they can to help you save as much magic as possible!

Typically, I'd recommend moving your dates out a couple of months to give your son time to heal. At the end of his journey in a cast, your family will have a magical vacation to look forward to, and I can't think of a better place to celebrate than at Walt Disney World Resort. My tip is to plan a resort day at your hotel to enjoy pool time and naps. My family likes to do this in the middle of our stay to recharge for the rest of the fun.

Pamela, I'm sending pixie dust and plaster so you find a practically perfect solution to your travel plans. Please stop by planDisney anytime! We'd love to help; no bones about it!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
