Hi Greg!
Disney food, particularly the Mickey-shaped variety, is one of my favorite parts about taking a vacation at Walt Disney World Resort. As my favorite tiny chef Remy says, "if you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff." Whether you want to enjoy a character buffet at
Tusker House Restaurant or visit Winnie the Pooh and friends at
The Crystal Palace, you'll be sure to find something to please your palate.
Dining reservations can be made
online or via the
My Disney Experience App up to 60 days in advance. Using the app you can quickly search for available reservations by clicking the "+" at the bottom center of the screen and selecting the "Check Dining Availability" link. Once there, select your party size and desired date, then search by meal or a particular time by scrolling the options across the bottom of your screen. You can also use the filter to narrow the list down by a specific park, resort, or even a type of cuisine.
You'll be visiting during the busy spring break season so you may notice limited availability at some of the most popular dining locations. But don't despair if you can't find your desired reservation on the first search! Guests often change their plans so I'd recommend checking back a few times a day as your trip approaches.
If you're having trouble securing a sit-down reservation before your trip, you can also join the same-day walk-up list once you've arrived. You can inquire in person at a particular restaurant or join using the My Disney Experience App once you're in close proximity to the restaurant. To do this use the map icon in your app and select "Dining" from the drop-down list at the top center of your screen. Use the map to navigate to nearby locations and then select the "Join Walk-Up List" link on a particular dining location.
A delicious breakfast isn't just limited to in-park dining. One of my favorite recent meals was the hearty breakfast skillet I enjoyed from
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Our server kept our bellies full and the laughs coming throughout the entire meal.
Trattoria al Forno is another fantastic dining experience (looking at you Tiramisù Bread Pudding) that does not require a ticket or theme park reservation.
One last tip is to consider a Quick Service meal for breakfast. If you'll be visiting Magic Kingdom Park my favorite is the Fresh Fruit Waffle Sandwich from
Sleepy Hollow. The warm waffle, fresh fruit, and chocolate hazelnut spread make the perfect delicious (and maybe just a little bit messy) combo to enjoy while soaking in views of Cinderella Castle. This is even available using
Mobile Ordering so you can schedule pick-up and find a comfy spot to enjoy without worrying about a table-service reservation. At EPCOT you can keep Remy's motto in mind with a delectable treat from
Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the World Showcase France Pavilion.
I hope this helps! Come back and see us again with more questions.
Bon Appétit,
Amy
