Welcome Aboard, Janice!
How exciting that you and your son are embarking on your very first Disney Cruise aboard the beautiful Disney Dream!
When you are looking at the staterooms on a cruise ship, it is just like a hotel room which can hold up to a certain number of guests. That simply means that this is the maximum number of guests that any room can accommodate, but rest assured, you will be in your own private room with your son.
There are three main restaurants on the Dream. The
menu for Royal Palace is centered around fine dining, like you have visited royalty for a feast. My favorite restaurant aboard the Dream is
Enchanted Garden. I absolutely love the Ahi Tuna and Avocado Tower appetizer and the Pan-Seared Sea Bass entrée.
Animator's Palate serves "contemporary Pacific Rim cuisine with an American flair for dinner".
As far as activities and times, you will receive a Daily Navigator in your room each evening which lists all of the different things to do for the following day. You can also load the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, which can be your portable guide to everything, conveniently located on your smart phone!
I hope this helps with the planning of your first cruise! Please let me know if you have further questions that arise as your voyage gets closer.
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
