My son is autistic and he loves fireworks but only likes to watch them from afar. Is there any way to see the Epcot fireworks from the Port Orleans Hotel?

    Hi Reanne,

I love Port Orleans! It is my favorite moderate resort and I hope your family enjoys it as much as my family does.

Illuminations, Epcot's firework show, can not be seen from Port Orleans. I totally understand that your son does not like to watch fireworks nearby. My oldest daughter does not like the noise either. For Illuminations, some of the show takes place on a globe on the lagoon around World Showcase. We generally forgo the images on the globe in order to give my daughter a quieter viewing spot.

For us, it means watching from the large fountain in Future World. It also gives us a head start to the buses or monorails.

For Wishes in Magic Kingdom, you might try the beaches at the Polynesian. We viewed them here for the first time and it was wonderful.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
