Our son has autism and we need to find pizza that can be served to us without sauce (in other words, not pre-made). We are staying at the Grand Californian, and visiting both parks. Where would our dining options be? Thanks so much!

Happiest Greetings on Earth, Kim! I'm so happy to welcome you to planDisney and thank you for sharing your question with us. It's always an honor to help our fellow Guests!

"To all who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land." Walt Disney's famous words from his opening day speech couldn't ring more true when it comes to ensuring every Guest feels included in the magic and wonder of 'The Happiest Place on Earth.' So, I'm happy to share that Disneyland Resort is especially accommodating when it comes to Guest's special dietary needs and preferences.

If you'd like, you can begin by checking out online menus (including allergen information) for most quick service dining locations using the official Disneyland mobile app or on the dining section of the website. Most table service locations will also be very glad to help you with a special order that includes no sauce on pizza! You can feel welcome to request the assistance of a friendly Cast Member when you check in for your reservation. If Guests have complex dietary needs, such as 4 or more allergens, or are on a medically-restrictive diet, they can contact a Cast Member with the Special Diets Team for assistance.

Now, Kim, as luck would have it, I also have a daughter who requests a cheese pizza with no sauce at nearly every opportunity. So, I've personally been on the hunt for the best dining locations for my kiddo with particular preferences! The two locations where our family has had success with this request are the Hearthstone Lounge at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and Naples Ristorante e Bar in the Downtown Disney District (or its quick service location next door, Napolini Pizzeria). I have genuinely always received such helpful service from the Cast Members and nearly every dining location across Disneyland Resort, so please don't hesitate to let any of them know if they can assist with any dietary needs and preferences during your stay.

Kim, I truly hope this was a helpful start. If we can send any other recommendations your way, please come on back to planDisney or reach out to me directly if you have any other follow-up questions. In the meantime, I am wishing you a visit full of magical moments for you and your loved ones.

    Blue Skies and Sunshine,
