Bright Suns, Traveler Mike!
When in Batuu, speak the language you must. Be sure to NOT mention that you are building a light saber, simply say you are looking for “scrap metal”.
The gatherers will be looking forward to your two younglings to come and build their very own "scrap metal". On the
Savi’s Workshop website, it states that there is room to accommodate one builder and one guest inside the workshop, so rest-assured you will be able to pass your knowledge to your daughter. This experience is recommended for ages 5 and up, so maybe the experience at the
Droid Depot would be better suited for her.
I was lucky enough to be at Walt Disney World on opening day of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and on of my highlights was choosing the parts and building my very own droid at the Droid Depot. (His name is R2QT, in case you were curious). He reacts to things in Batuu, and I love carrying him around and listening for his droid noises!
As you prepare for your day visiting Batuu, be sure you have secured your park pass to Disneyland Park. You might also check for a reservation to meet up with other Resistance allies at Oga’s Cantina (I recommend the Carbon Freeze for your younglings).
While you are in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, be sure to take a turn chasing down cargo on
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Hondo Onaka is a bit gruff, but the attraction makes me laugh every time I give it a whirl. Since fighting the First Order and piloting the Millennium Falcon makes one need nourishment, might I suggest stopping by
Ronto Roasters for a quick snack? Or perhaps your padawans would like to try the blue or green milk.
Hopefully you will also be able to use your data pad (smartphone) to secure a boarding group for
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. This attraction is SO good! Remember you can try once at 7am and again at 1pm if you are unsuccessful in the morning.
I hope you have a wonderful day visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
Good Journey,
Tracy
