Hi Mary,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm glad you sailed by with your question. You will be heading off on your
Disney Magic cruise soon, so let's get you the details you need.
First, when you complete the
Online Check-In, you will find information about security under the "Traveling with Minors" section, including information about
minors going ashore without an adult. Your young travelers will require a
form of identification for check-in online and in person at the cruise terminal. For your round-trip Bahamian cruise, minors who are U.S. citizens can present either a valid US passport OR an original (no copies) state-issued birth certificate. Children who are 17 years old must also present a physical government-issued photo ID with their birth certificate.
Minors (under the age of 18) traveling without one parent or legal guardian, must travel with an adult (18 and over) and have an
Authorization for Minors to Travel Without a Parent or Legal Guardian Form. You can
find that form here. The form must be printed, completed, and presented to a Port Representative when you arrive at the terminal. If you are traveling with more than one minor with the same parents or legal guardians, the additional minor may be added to the same form.
You will want to check out the
youth clubs available onboard! From the youngest travelers to 17-year-olds, there are exciting spaces and activities planned by trained counselors. Teens 14-17 years of age will enjoy hanging out at
Vibe. On Disney Magic, this urban-inspired area is in the iconic forward funnel of the ship! You can learn more about the clubs during Open House hours on embarkation day. Check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for Open House hours once you board the ship.
I know you will have an amazing time during your
Halloween on the High Seas adventure. Be sure to check your Navigator app to discover when and where to meet Clarabelle Cow, Daisy Duck, and Minnie Mouse dressed as the Sanderson Sisters––they are a scream!
Please let us know if you have other questions; we are happy to help!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Shannon
