I want to do something special with girls age 6&7 while at Disney, but I don't want to spend $150 to do lunch with princesses, although they would love that. What else could u recommend?

Hi Dawn! Your little princesses are going to have a magical time at Walt Disney World! While dining with Cinderella and friends is fun, there are plenty of other opportunities to meet them in the parks for free if a character meal is not in your budget. Just pick up a Times Guide when you enter the park to see the schedule of character Meet-and-Greets for that day.

Chip'n'Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long is a free character experience held nightly at the Fort Wilderness Resort. Meet Chip and Dale, and roast marshmallows around the campfire. S'mores kits and marshmallows are sold for a nominal fee, and the nightly sing-a-long is followed by a movie under the stars.

For a little treat for your girls, consider a trip to the Harmony Barber Shop in the Magic Kingdom, where they can have their hair styled into a cute ponytail with a generous sprinkling of glittery pixie dust. The special hairstyles at the Barber Shop aren't as elaborate, or as expensive, as those at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but they're fun and attract lots of attention.

Another fun activity would be to surprise your girls with a Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream. They'll be shocked when the server delivers this massive family-sized sundae to your table with a lot of fanfare! One sink is more than enough ice cream for your entire family.

Wishing you a magical vacation! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We'd love to help!
