If someone is turning 21 on the day of their trip will they be served alcohol with the appropriate identification?

    Hi Sabrina!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. There is no better place to celebrate a birthday than The Happiest Place on Earth, whether you are turning 2, 21 or 91!

Your first stop when celebrating a birthday should be to receive your complimentary birthday button inside the park! If you are in Disneyland Park this can be picked up at City Hall on Main Street USA. If you are stopping by Disney California Adventure Park first, you'll go to Guest Services just inside the park. As far as any 21st birthday celebrations go, you'll find that Disneyland Resort will follow the state laws of California. If the person has a valid form of identification, they should be served on the day of their actual birthday. The exception to this may be if a park stays open past midnight. Locations operate under a day of operation assumption so if it's the day before your birthday and you stay in Disney California Adventure Park past midnight, even though it may technically be your 21st birthday, for the day of operation understanding you will not be served.

For a 21st Birthday Celebration, I would personally recommend making a reservation at Lamplight Lounge. You'll find that they have some of the most delicious cocktails! I hope this helps in planning your upcoming celebration.
