Someone told me that when you stay at a property onsite then you can have the automatic privledge of going to more than one park a day. That you don't have to have the hopper pass just the base ticket. Is this true?

That is incorrect. The only way to enter more than one park per day is if you have a Park Hopper ticket.

There are; however, other great perks for staying at the WDW resort hotels, notably the ability to participate in Extra Magic Hours. Extra Magic is extended time in the parks, after the official closing time or before the official opening time, that is only available for guests staying on site at the Disney hotels. Perhaps this is what your friend was thinking of?

    Have a great trip!
