Someone told me that you could not start using your dining plan until you have checked in to your resort, but if you check in online does that make a difference. OUr check in isnt until 3pm but we want to go to Trex for lunch and use our dining plan.

    Hello Valerie!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Your friend is correct, you will need to check-in at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel before your dining plan will become active.  Online check-in will speed up the process when you arrive, but you will still need to visit with a cast member at the resort.   I have started the check-in process as early as 7:00 a.m. on my arrival day. Your resort room may not be ready, but you will be able to start using any park tickets, or dining plan credits associated with your reservation.  Once your room is available you can choose to have a cast member send you your room number via text messaging, allowing you to simply open your resort door with the touch of your really cool Magic Band.

Enjoy your lunch at  T-Rex cafe it is one of my families favorite restaurants.   If you think of any other questions before you depart for your vacation please let me know.
