Welcome, Tracey! What an exciting vacation you are planning, flying all the way from Australia for a magical Disney adventure! My daughter is the same age as your son, and I know how excited she would be for such a fantastic trip. Your son must be thrilled!
I'm so glad you stopped by to ask about which is the "must see" park when you visit Walt Disney World for just two days. It sounds like Animal Kingdom is tops on your list. I can see why! My children adore that park, and with the new addition of
Pandora - The World of Avatar, opening this May, you've got even more magic to enjoy at that park! My kids are super excited to experience Pandora and the two new attractions: Avatar Flight of Passage and Na'vi River Journey!
So, for your second day, you absolutely must visit
Magic Kingdom. It is THE Disney park, and if you only had one day to experience Disney magic during your visit, Magic Kingdom would be the place to go. It epitomizes Disney in every aspect. From your first step into the park, as you stand at the top of Main Street, U.S.A., looking toward Cinderella Castle, you'll know you're in the place where dreams come true! The attractions here are the best traditional Disney rides. A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is simply not complete without a day in Magic Kingdom, Tracey. If your son is a thrill ride lover, he'll enjoy Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, Splash Mountain, and Seven Dwarves Mine Train. Don't miss the Disney traditional favorites: Pirates of the Caribbean, Mad Tea Party, Peter Pan's Flight, Haunted Mansion (my son's favorite!), Dumbo, and It's A Small World. These are all true Disney experiences that your son will remember forever about his trip to Walt Disney World, Tracey.
I'm excited for you to begin this magical adventure!
