Can someone explain the water park and sports option to me? I wanted to add it to my tickets but am a little confused on what it entails. Does it include a park ticket AND water park or sports option? Are the water parks/sports option located in a park?

Hi there, Hannah! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and allowing us to help you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

It is not an exaggeration to say that there are tons of fun things for you to do at Walt Disney World Resort! My family and I have been visiting for years and there are still many different offerings we have yet to experience! Though the biggest draw has got to be the four theme parks, there are many things that can sometimes fly under the radar.

One of my favorite “hidden gems” has got to be the water parks! Either water park is a great way to rest a bit while also experiencing some aquatic adventure. Both water parks are located outside of the theme parks and are completely separate experiences. Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is located near Epcot while Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is located near Disney Springs.

There are a few different ways you can purchase your tickets if you would like to enter the theme parks. One way is with the Water Park and Sports Option add-on to your standard theme park ticket! With this option, you receive a total number of admissions to the water parks and various sports experiences based on the length of your theme park ticket. So, for example, if you purchase a 3-day theme park ticket, you will also receive three visits to the water park or sports location of your choice. My family and I love this option since it effectively gives up access to more activities on days we may not want to spend in the parks!

Best of luck continuing to plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort later this year! Be sure to reach back out if we can answer any other questions along the way!
