Can someone explain the Not So Scary Halloween Party. We are going Oct. 11-17th with our 7 year old daughter and have heard alot about this party. Are parent encouraged to dress up as well? Are costumes part of the ticket price?

Hi Cindi! We love Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom. It's a night of spooktacular fun for all ages. Costumes are not included in the ticket price, but everyone is encouraged to wear them. Last year my daughter decided she didn't want a big costume, so we bought super cute matching Halloween t-shirts. They were perfect because it was very warm and they were festive!

Here are some highlights of the party:
    - The party officially begins at 7:00 pm, but ticket holders can get into the Magic Kingdom at 4 pm. We got there early, did some shopping and had dinner.
    - The Halloween parade is awesome. Be sure to be there 15 minutes or so before the parade starts to see the Headless Horseman ride through the streets!
    - The fireworks are incredible - don't miss them!
    - Mmmmm, candy! You'll get a map of the trick or treat locations and there are signs throughout the park pointing you in the right direction.
    - Characters wear costumes, and there are many that you don't not normally see.
    - There are special character-lead dance parties throughout the park.
    - The Haunted Mansion is a must do on this scary night!

    Wishing you a spooktacular time!
