I might take a solo Disney Cruise (I'm 19 y/o). I'm thinking of doing either a 7 day to Alaska out of Vancouver in June, or 3 Day to Bahamas or 7 Days to Caribbean out of Port Canaveral in September Any and all advice and info would be GREATLY appreciated!

Welcome aboard, Mariah! How exciting that you are planning a Disney Cruise Line vacation! There are a few things to consider when sailing alone, and at your age.

Did you know that you'll be paying the full price for a stateroom, even though you'll be on your own? For example, if you had a friend join you, it might only cost an additional $200 or so total for that person's entire fare since you'd be sharing the same stateroom. Keep in mind that food is included, as are most activities, so this is a great deal to have a second person join you! While sailing alone is really relaxing and invigorating, it is just something to keep in mind should you have a buddy who might want to set sail with you! Play around with the itineraries, staterooms and number of guests on Disney Cruise Line's webpage to get some more specific pricing ideas.

Disney Cruise Line has a variety of activities for Club 18*21. Usually there is at least one event a day for this group of young adults between the ages of 18 and 21, from a Wii Challenge to club socials. Since you will be too old to join in the teen club, Vibe, Disney has created this relaxed, informal group so that other young adults can meet each other onboard. I've stopped into a few of these scheduled events just to see what they are all about. I can tell you that during the school year, they are very poorly attended, as not that many young adults that age are able to travel when class is in session. If you're looking to meet others your age, you might be best trying to cruise in the summer, so perhaps that amazing Alaska cruise you were looking at! Then, you'll see many more 18-21 year olds onboard with whom you can enjoy the activities and events at sea!

I'd suggest taking a look at the itineraries, your budget and any ports you'd like to visit and finding the cruise that is right for you, Mariah! Please stop back with any other questions you might have as you continue to plan!
