Hi Christine!
It sounds like you are the proud new owner of a
MagicBand+, and if so, you are in for some fun interactive experiences with your new magical accessory when you arrive in just a few short weeks! I recently purchased new bands for my family and we had a tough time narrowing down our favorite designs with so many great options available.
MagicBand+ typically arrive with a small charge to get you started, but it's best to fully charge them before linking them to your
My Disney Experience App or trying to use them for theme park entry. You'll likely notice a red ring around the center touchpoint upon first use which indicates the battery is low. Simply charge using the included USB cord and you'll see the colors begin to change and pulse. Yellow indicates a partial charge, and when the band turns green you'll be good to go! The ring may illuminate all the way around, or just be a partial pulse but the color green indicates a high charge.
While you are out exploring the parks, you'll be able to check the status of your battery by tapping the button on the back of your band. The same red, yellow, and green color scale will give you a good indication of battery life, and you can also check the remaining charge for linked bands in your My Disney Experience App.
I recommend fully charging each night so your bands are ready to go the next morning. You'll want to take advantage of all the included features like interactions with the
Disney Fab 50 Quest statues, and even bounty hunting throughout
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. If you need more help getting your new MagicBand+ ready for a day of fun
troubleshooting is also available.

Wishing you a fully charged vacation!
